TACLOBAN CITY — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office VIII started 2024 with a bang, hosting their first sports activity on March 12, 2024. The event, a badminton tournament held at the DPWH Equipment Management Division (EMD) Compound in Pawing, Palo, Leyte, brought together employees for a day of fun and healthy competition.

Assistant Regional Director Ma. Margarita C. Junia praised the tournament as an excellent team-building activity that fosters unity among employees and encourages a balance between work and a healthy, active lifestyle. The event, she said, sets a promising tone for future sports activities.
