President Marcos Declares June 17 a Regular Holiday

It’s official.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared June 17, Monday, a regular holiday throughout the Philippines, in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice.

The declaration was made through Proclamation No. 579.

The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos recommended the holiday based on the 1445 Hijrah Islamic Lunar Calendar.
