The National Federation of Peasant Women, Amihan, together with APMDD and Oriang, led the protest, citing “systemic-wide corruption” under the Marcos administration as a major concern.

The demonstration, part of Asia-wide actions on Rural Women’s Day, highlighted the struggles of rural and peasant women in the Philippines and globally.
