Catbalogan PNP Nabs 3 Rape Suspects with WOA

CATBALOGAN CITY, Philippines – The Catbalogan City Police, led by Police Lt. Col. Daryll S. Chua, successfully arrested three individuals wanted for rape in Barangay 3, Catbalogan City, on the evening of Monday, February 10, 2025.

According to a report from the police, the arrested suspects were identified as aliases “Rods” (21) and “Yan” (23), both from Barangay Mercedes, and “Ivey” (20), a resident of Barangay Maulong. All three had standing warrants for rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, and none of them had recommended bail.

The police team used an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) to carry out the arrest, ensuring the suspects were informed of their rights under the Miranda Doctrine and Republic Act No. 9745, the Anti-Torture Law.
