PASIG CITY – The Department of Education (DepEd) is gradually returning to the April-May break, starting with adjustments to the remaining activities for School Year 2023-2024, based on field surveys and consultations with national organizations and teachers.

The shift aims to avoid disruptions to school days needed to cover all learning competencies.

“Extensive consultations with teachers, learners, and stakeholders, alongside findings from the Philippine Normal University’s study, Analysis of the Basic Education School Year Calendar in the Philippines: Inputs to Policy, support this decision,” noted the DepEd.
