Missing girl in Catbalogan City safely returns home

CATBALOGAN CITY – A minor girl reported missing in the early hours of September 15 has safely returned home, according to authorities.

The 15-year-old, identified as Hyacinth Baldonido Olaje, a Grade 10 student and resident of Barangay San Andres, Catbalogan City, was reported missing by her family. In an official police report, it was confirmed that Hyacinth returned home safely around 6 p.m. on September 16, 2024.

A relative, referred to as “Auntie,” informed the police that Hyacinth was seen traveling alone on a bus when she returned.

As of this report, Hyacinth has not yet spoken about the details of her disappearance.

Her case went viral on social media, with concerned individuals and groups sharing her photo and calling for assistance in locating her.
