CEBU CITY — Several local brands have come forward to support the man who fell for an April Fools’ Day challenge by getting a tattoo on his forehead.
“Project Glow Up” took the lead by awarding him P100,000, while “KasKasan Buddies,” “ChizMozza,” and “Cafe Galilea” each pledged P10,000.
In a Facebook post, Project Glow Up stated, “To Sir Ramil Albano, this is not an April [Fools’] prank. We will be giving you P100,000 for being dedicated in taking up the challenge full-heartedly! You are the winner for us!”
The challenge, initiated by local food business “Taragis,” offered P100,000 to anyone willing to tattoo their logo on their forehead. However, after someone actually got the tattoo, Taragis clarified in a now-deleted post that the challenge was a prank.
“We received messages claiming that our post was executed and that someone had taken it seriously. Let this serve as a reminder to us all how important reading comprehension is,” Taragis wrote.
This incident sparked criticism from netizens, with some calling for accountability from the takoyaki store. (Photo credits from Facebook Pages of Project Glow Up, KasKasan Buddies, ChizMozza, and Cafe Galilea)
