DSWD 8 distributes Php 124M in Emergency Cash Transfer in Northern Samar

CATBALOGAN CITY — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Eastern Visayas continues its distribution of Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) in Northern Samar.

According to the latest data posted by the DSWD, the agency has so far distributed this week some P124,895,360 to 41,084 beneficiaries from 10 municipalities in Northern Samar. These include Allen, Bobon, Gamay, Lapinig, Lavezares, Lope de Vega, Mapanas, Palapag, Rosario, and San Jose.

The ECT is financial assistance for families affected by flooding caused by a shearline in November. In line with the directive of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, the distribution of this assistance will continue to ensure the early recovery and rehabilitation of affected families.

The Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) is a financial assistance program for families affected by flooding caused by a shearline in November. This initiative is in accordance with the directive of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian to ensure the early recovery and rehabilitation of affected families.

DSWD continues its distribution of aid in other municipalities in the province. Residents are encouraged to coordinate with their local government for the distribution schedule in their area.
