CATBALOGAN CITY – In a display of unity and collaboration, Catbalogan City officials, led by Mayor Dexter Uy, joined Provincial officials at the Capitol Grounds to celebrate Independence Day 2024 on June 12.
The theme for this year’s celebration, “Freedom, Future, History,” was central to the gathering.
The program featured a flag raising and wreath-laying ceremony at the Capitol grounds, attended by employees of both city and provincial governments as well as workers of various national government agencies. He called on everyone to uphold the principles of liberty, justice, and equality for all.
As the festivities unfolded, Tan reminded the public of the day’s significance, encouraging pride in the nation’s strength and resilience. “May this celebration inspire us to continue working towards a brighter and more prosperous future for all,” he concluded.
