Mary Jane Santa Ana Guck, professionally known as Jaclyn Jose, a Filipino actress passed away at the age of 60.
According to information, the veteran actress was found dead evening of Sunday, March 3, at her home in Quezon City.
“It saddens us to inform everyone of the untimely passing of Miss Jaclyn Jose (real name Mary Jane Guck),” PPL Entertainment’s official statement read, posted on the company’s social media accounts.
She was known as Chief Esperas in the ABC-CBN longest running teleserye “Batang Quiapo”.
Known for her penetrating eyes and antagonistic roles in film and soap operas, she is a recipient of various accolades including five Gawad Urian, two Luna Award, and a FAMAS Award, in addition to an Asian Film Awards nomination.
To date, the cause of her death has not yet been made public and the family has yet to issue any public statements.
