DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office Encourages Jakarta Tourism Promotion to Foreign Countries

DKI Jakarta promotes urban tourism and Digital Nomad Island to foreign tourists via NATAS Travel Fair 2024 in Singapore, targeting 9.5 to 14.3 million visits in 2024.

Singapore – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) continues to encourage the promotion of Urban Tourism and Digital Nomad Island in the Thousand Islands to foreign tourists. The two tourist attractions in the Thousand Islands are Jakarta’s leading tourist destinations.

Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Office, Andhika Permata, said that the real steps taken by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in promoting these leading tourist destinations were by participating in various tourism exhibitions abroad. One of them was at the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) Travel Fair 2024 exhibition at Singapore Expo Hall 4 &; 5A on March 1-3, 2024.

DKI Jakarta is one of seven provinces in Indonesia that participate in this annual event. Occupying the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion Booth, as many as 26 Indonesian tourism industry players consisting of the Provinces of North Sumatra, Riau Islands, Banten, DKI Jakarta, East Java, Yogyakarta Special Region, and Bali offer a variety of the best tourist destinations in the country.

“Participation in NATAS 2024 is the right activity target. Moreover, the target achievement of foreign tourists in 2024 is 9.5 to 14.3 million visits and tourists from Singapore occupy the 2nd position as one of the contributors to foreign tourists to Indonesia (Inbound),” said Andhika Permata in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday (20/4/2024).

Head of Marketing and Attractions of DKI Jakarta Disparekraf, Sherly Yuliana explained that the main focus of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government participating in the event was to attract tourists by interacting directly with the participation of other countries participating in NATAS activities. This will strengthen and expand the understanding of Jakarta’s tourism excellence in the world.

“Tourism exhibitions such as NATAS are the right moment for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to continue to promote Jakarta in international events, especially in Southeast Asia. Many tourist destinations are worthy of promotion in the event such as Pulau Seribu and as a destination for Meeting, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE),” said Sherly Yuliana, Head of Marketing and Attractions of DKI Jakarta Disparekraf.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also presented the 2023 Jakarta Abang None III Runner-up, Zidan Nabila Akmal and Callista Sanaa Atsillah. In addition, there are also industry representatives in Jakarta, including Bank DKI, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk and Pullman Jakarta Central Park Hotel, and Oddity Coffee.

NATAS Travel 2024 is also enlivened with door prizes for consumers who buy tour packages. The transaction process is only carried out by local Singapore agents including Singa Tours, Zoom Travel and Flamingo Tours. Indonesian industry participants are required to fill out the transaction form obtained every day to measure the success of promotional efforts at the NATAS Travel Fair 2024 activities. (*)
